From Kappa Kappa Gamma:

Kappa Kappa Gamma and other women’s fraternities/sororities afford unique lifelong opportunities for scholarship, friendship and leadership that is “sisterhood-centric”, member focused and designed to address women’s developmental needs and interests.

We are looking for women who display qualities of leadership, scholarship, and friendship (the three ideals of Kappa), who have compassion for their friends, and who have a desire to help in their communities. Because we feel diversity is important, our members come from many different backgrounds and experiences.

The Zeta Tau chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Washington and Lee strives to maintain a strong campus presence and reputation. Members are involved in an array of activities, from Fancy Dress, Mock Convention, Kathekon, and the Student Recruitment Committee. Kappas play on varsity sports teams like soccer and field hockey, and write for publications like the Trident and inGeneral. We also take pride in our philanthropy programs, whether we’re making Valentines at the local retirement home, The Mayflower, helping with the Panhellenic Halloween Carnival, or participating in our annual Race for Charlie to benefit neuroblastoma cancer research.
